Mary J. Lore

Mary J. Lore is an internationally recognized thought leader, public speaker, multiple award-winning author, and mentor to key influencers and thought leaders around the world. Since 2002 she has helped thousands of individuals and over 10,000 organizations develop self-awareness and change the way they think to create profound change, experience their highest vision, and enjoy long-lasting success. 

Her book Managing Thought: Think Differently. Think Powerfully. Achieve New Levels of Success. and audio book Managing Thought: How Do Your Thoughts Rule Your World? have received six best book awards in various categories including business motivation, leadership, communication skills, enlightenment and inspiration, philosophical thought and self-help. Previous winners of the most recent award include Thich Nhat Hanh, Eckhart Tolle, and the Dalai Lama.

Mary has devoted over thirty-five years to serving as a Certified Public Accountant, senior executive, crisis management and business start-up and turnaround expert, entrepreneur, and mentor to corporate leaders. Her background gives her the unique ability to apply her work to corporate culture, leadership, vision and strategy, creativity, communication, team building, motivation, and profitability.

Her work is hailed internationally and is endorsed by corporate leaders, educators K-12, college professors, psychology professionals, spiritual teachers and executive, sports, and life coaches.

Mary received full scholarships in physics, mathematics, and engineering. She graduated valedictorian, with a BBA in finance and a minor in philosophy, from the University of Michigan-Dearborn College of Business. In 1997, she was named Distinguished Alumnus of the Year by the Alumni Society and was the chapter honoree for Beta Gamma Sigma in 2002.

Mary served on the University of Michigan-Dearborn’s College of Business Dean’s Advisory Council from its inception in 1993 to 2015. She was named one of Michigan’s Top 25 Women Business Owners of Distinction and her company was named one of Metro Detroit’s Future 50 Companies for three consecutive years.

Managing Thought sprouted from an “aha” moment when Mary—feeling drained, unhealthy and completely out of balance—realized that she could take responsibility for her reality. She decided to apply the system of thinking and being that made her successful at work to change her entire life.

Mary, a CPA, is also certified in Gardening Fine Arts, as well as the practice of Dao-In, an ancient Chinese yoga practice. Mary enjoys camping, hiking, cooking, singing, traveling, and enjoying the company of family and friends.
